We are so thankful to God for fine weather today (although cold and windy!) at Nga Puna Wai for the Christian Schools’ Athletics. We had 190 athletes from five schools compete and had seven new records set. Well done to all the students who competed!

Well done to Year 9 Eva Bader who scored 6 tries yesterday as the Year 9 Girls beat Rolleston High School 6-0 in our Division One Touch Game at Hagley Park – that must be a record!!!
It will be fine but cold and windy for the Year 9/10 Christian Schools’ Athletics at Nga Puna Wai today.
Students may like to bring a rug to shelter underneath between events – this is often done at Athletics meetings.
Five Christian Schools will be competing – Hillview, Emmanuel, Aidanfield, Ashburton and Timaru!

BOYS HLCS Junior Red Y9/10 v. CATH Year 9 4:00pm HLCS 2 – Sebastian Daff and Ethan Manahi will play for this team today. It will change every week.
BOYS HLCS Junior Blue Y10 v. EMCS 1 5:00pm HLCS 1
GIRLS HLCS Red Y10 v. MDGR Y10 A 5:00pm MDGR 2 – Stay behind at Middleton after Technology. You will need to be picked up at around 5.40pm from Middleton.
GIRLS HLCS Blue Y9/10 v. VILL Orange Jnr 4:00pm HLCS – Esther Stringer, Jess Linton and Lucia Xu will play for this team today. It will change every week.

Year 5/6 Girls Cricket
Congratulations to the Year 5/6 Girls Cricket Team – they secured their first win of the season, winning by 57 runs! They played extremely well, applying their acquired skills

We have five Christian Schools competing on Thursday 28 February at Nga Puna Wai in the Christian Schools’ Athletics. We host this especially for Year 9-10 students.
Schools involved are: Hillview, Aidanfield, Emmanuel, Ashburton and Timaru Christian Schools. It is so great to have students from Timaru and Ashburton joining the Christchurch schools!
Hillview students will travel to and from Nga Puna Wai by bus – leaving at 9.00am. Students are to wear PE gear, bring their morning tea and lunch and sports shoes (if children have athletic spikes they can bring those too).
