Swift Swimmers at Canterbury Champs

Our Year 5-8 swimming team did very well at the Primary Sports Canterbury Swimming Champs at the Selwyn Aquatic Centre today.

Top 3:  We had four top 3 places achieved today which is an outstanding result…..

Elliott Graves took 2nd in both the 50m Freestyle and 50m Breaststroke for Year 7 Boys. Noah Davis was 2nd in the Year 8 Boys’ 50m Backstroke and 3rd in 50m Breaststroke. These are sensational results.

Other top ten finishes were achieved by:

The Year 8 Mixed Relay team (Noah Davis, Eva Bader, Max Blockley and Kavanah Lene) were a superb 4th. Bonnie Graves did very well to place 5th in the Year 5 Girls 50m Breaststroke and Tessa Davis was 5th in the Year 6 Girls’ 50m Breaststroke and 8th in the 50m Backstroke. The Year 7 Mixed Relay team (Elliott Graves, PJ Palamo, Antonia Tinga and Ava Barker) were 7th, PJ Palamo was 9th in the Year 7 Boys’ 50m Backstroke and Eva Bader swam brilliantly to get 10th in the Open Girls’ 50m Butterfly.

It was a great effort from all of our swimmers today against the best in Canterbury. A big thanks to our vocal supporters and parents who helped transport students.
