Our Year 7/8 Netball has been competing in the Koru Games in Selwyn for the past two days. They have been playing at a very high standard (winning all of their 7 pool games with closest game a 27-5 win) and when I visited them yesterday I saw them put on 22 unanswered goals in a 10 minute half of very high quality play.
Today they will have much tougher opposition today as they play Woodend in their quarterfinal at 10.00am and then a semi (hopefully) against St. Margarets or Queenspark at 11.00am with the Bronze Medal match at 12.30pm or the grand final at 1.00pm.
We pray that the team will have peace and try their best and be a witness, wheter they lose or win. The games are being played at the Selwyn Netball Centre in Lincoln.
We also have three Year 7 girls enjoying playing in a mixed Rugby Sevens team. Thye were playing very well against some huge opposition but they were giving of their best.
