We are very thankful to God for all of the gifts and talents and character on display in all of these results. The students have had many ups and downs over the season and today had to learn to deal with defeat and decisions not going their way but still honored God in their thoughts, words and actions.
A big thanks to the parents and teachers who have taken teams this year and and also to all of our supporters,
Last night we had three Hillview Year 8’s named in the Canterbury Metro Rugby Representative teams. Jacob Tauamiti and Jamie Ehau were named in the Under 65kg team and Tom Harrison was named in the Under 48 kg team. Again, this is an amazing achievement and to have three boys selected would probably be a first for Hillview. We thank God for their talents and the opportunity to use them in representing their province.
The boys will play in the South Island Primary Schools Tournament in September / October competing against seven other South Island unions – with the final tournament in Dunedin in the first week of the term three holidays.
Well done to Year 7 Matthew Fairhall who was tonight named in the Canterbury A Hatch Cup Hockey Team for 2017. This is an amazing honour and a great achievement for a Year 7 in a Year 7/8 team. Matthew will play in the Hatch Cup tournament in Auckland at the start of October.
