South Zone Athletic Sports – Wednesday 6 November

The South Zone Athletic Sports are being held next Wednesday, 6 November, at Hansen Park. They involve 9-13 year old students. The postponement date for these is Wednesday 13 November.

Team – our team is being worked out today and should be finalised by Friday 1 November. Children who were in the first three in their finals on Tuesday evening will usually be part of the team, apart from the 9 years Shot and Discus where there are no events at Zone level. Children can only be in THREE events at the Zones and can only do one sprint event (ie not 60m and 100m) and the relay counts as one event also. This means it is difficult to work out events, especially when some children qualify for 7 events!

Relay Teams – Mr Norton and Mr Frost will make sure we have our best and fastest teams and possibly some children that were sick, injured or not available on Tuesday evening may be considered for the teams.

Timetable – we would love parents to come along and support their children. The timetable for Wednesday is available here – a reminder ages are as at 1 October 2013. For the timetable, please click here: South Zone Athletics Programme 2013 – Coloured

A notice for all team members will go home Friday 1 November and be posted here also.
