All of our Year 9/10 students competed in our first ever Orienteering Championships at Hansen Park yesterday. Our first ever champions are:

Boys:

1st: Latham Fairhall 11.56

2nd: Aidan Ogilvie and Declan McLister 12.52

3rd: Jayzin Cleghorn and Nathan Lewis 15.24

Girls:

1st: Bella Stringer and Beth Walters 14.51

2nd: Mahina Mullany and Bleuette Hille 16.02

3rd: Caitlin Steele and Rona Hernandez 16.25

This year our full school Athletics day will be held on FRIDAY 26 OCTOBER at the Senior and Junior School sites (not Hansen Park) with a special Finals Night and a BBQ on Tuesday 30 November, 4.30-7.30pm on the Senior site. Please note the dates in your diary.

Well thank you all for your support getting through another basketball season, we have struggled the past 2 seasons finding enough court space and have lost a number of schools but hopefully things can only get better. We had some great games this season and a number of players have developed some good skills and then going onto represent us at the Allstars Tournament.  Congratulations to our year 5/6 Girls team who won all 3 games yesterday.

Year 7/8 Football Team 3rd=

Congratulations to our Year 7/8 Football team that gained third= place in the Primary Sports Canterbury Winter Tournament on Thursday. They won their pool and then lost their semi-final to eventual winners, Halswell. They then fought out a draw with St. Thomas’ in the 3rd/4th play-off. Well done team! Our four other teams at the tournament played hard and fair against the best competition from all around Canterbury – 79 schools qualified and over 1500 children were involved.

More Basketball Success

 A report from our latest successful basketball team….
The girls yr 7-8 team won their final on Friday night vs Middleton 26-22  -close game !
They have won 11/12 games this season and the one they lost was only by 1
They have had a great season – hopefully they all come back next yr !
